Fomo Ads Review – Is it Legit or a Scam?

If you’re a blogger or the owner of an online publishing platform, one of the things you’re regularly thinking of is generating income by displaying ads on your website or blog. This is perhaps the best way to earn passive income if you own an online platform.

When it comes to the display of ads there are just a couple of ad networks you can really choose from. Of course, the default ad network for many bloggers is Google AdSense. It was perhaps the ad network with the most attainable acceptance criteria…until Fomo Publishers Network showed up.

Even though Google AdSense remains the most popular ad scheme on the internet, it is also the least rewarding with payment packages that can make a publisher receiving low traffic put a bullet to his or her head. What else will you call getting paid $1 or $1.5 for every 1000 page views? Yeah…pretty depressing, right?

You can only make this payment rate work if you get lots of monthly visits. Ironically, most publishers who make use of Google AdSense are those with sites that have little monthly traffic. This is because it is just the easiest ads program to get into.

The other ads networks out there include Mediavine, which so far is probably the most lucrative with a payment rate that is up to $20 per 1000 page views. Of course, to get into Mediavine you need at least 25,000 monthly sessions.

There is also Adthrive, which is even steeper in terms of criteria with at least 100,000 monthly page views needed to be accepted. Its payment rate is just a bit lower than that of Mediavine.

Ezoic is the least difficult to get into among these premium ad networks with just 10,000 page views needed; but it does have a lot of shortcomings with regards to the efficiency of its ads.

And that leaves us with the last glimmer of hope; Fomo ads.

So, Who the Heck Is Fomo?

Fomo Ads Review

Fomo’s original business is actually social proof marketing. The company created a tool that helped businesses effectively market their products and services across social channels. With an increase in the number of advertisers now making use of the platform to create and manage their ads, the company has decided to branch out and bring in web publishers to the table.

Bloggers can basically go the website and submit their blogs for consideration so as to begin displaying Fomo ads.

What are Fomo Ads’ Criteria for Acceptance?

This is probably your next question and it is definitely a valid one. Well, for now…there are no criteria, just own a blog and you’ll probably get accepted. You don’t need a minimum number of page views or sessions to apply to the ad network. Just sign up for a Fomo Publishers’ account and get an “embed code” and wait for your blog to be successfully evaluated so that it can begin displaying ads.

This may take a couple of days to happen. Obviously, a lot of people see the absence of criteria as a red flag. But if you think about it, this decision actually makes perfect business sense. Since it is unlikely that Fomo will get publishers that are already under Mediavine and Adthrive to leave those ad networks, the company’s best chance is to target Google AdSense publishers that aren’t satisfied with their earnings.

How Much Does Fomo Ads Pay?

We’re getting to the juicy bit. Fomo’s payment rates shits on AdSense 1000 times and turns it into bio-fuel…. Yeah I know that doesn’t make any sense. Anyway, with Fomo, publishers get to earn between $6 and $10 per 1000 page views. I can already see the dollar signs in your eyes.

This may not be as lucrative as Mediavine and Adthrive; it is, however, way better than AdSense. And when you actually check out the way the ads are placed, I think it brings far more value to your website than the more lucrative ad networks who basically desecrate your blog with numerous ads.

How Does Fomo Pay Publishers and What is the Minimum Pay Out?

Another downside of Google AdSense is that you have to wait till you earn $100 in ad revenue before you can actually withdraw your money, and that can take an eternity if you’re still a growing blog. Thankfully, Fomo doesn’t have such an issue as the company pays its publishers once every month, usually on the first day. So, no matter how little you ads earnings are, expect it to be paid into your PayPal account once the new month comes.

And yeah… payment is made solely via PayPal so you need a PayPal account to receive your earnings.

How to Sign Up and Apply to Fomo Ad Network

Even the sign up process for Fomo Ads is completely hassle-free. Just enter basic personal and blog details (URL, categories etc.) in the sign up page and you’ll be immediately taken to your dashboard where you’ll be able to see and manage the ads.

Of course, your ads won’t show up immediately as you’ll first have to embed a code on your blog and will also wait for your blog to be reviewed. Only upon a successful review will you begin seeing displayed ads and start earning money.

Embedding Fomo Codes

This is as easy as ABC…unless, of course, you’re a kindergartner still trying to learn ABC. Anyway, all you have to do is grab the header and Footer codes and place it in your site’s header.php file. This is assuming that you use WordPress.

You can also simply follow the instruction that is shown to you on your dashboard. It is easy-peasy.

Any Downside to Fomo Ads?

There are no downsides yet but if anything does come up, this article will certainly be updated with the information.

Is Fomo Ads Legit or a Scam

While it is understandable that the first impression of a new online ad network is mostly scepticism and distrust, having such thoughts about Fomo is quite irrational. There are honest reviews scattered around the internet by users of the ad network like The Coffee Moms and Susan Velez. Read these and tell me if you still doubt the legitimacy of this ad network.

Conclusion

I will conclude this review with an advice that you should immediately tie down a spot with this ad company. You’ve got nothing to lose. Also, with such a lucrative payment rate, I highly doubt that the acceptance criteria will remain this lax for long. I am sure once the company secures a sizable number of publishers, it will develop criteria of its own.  So you better take advantage of this opportunity while it still exists.

Fomo publishers network is legit. I got my first payment from referral which was $70. But it takes time for them to approve a website. They approve faster soccer blogs.

can a new blog be approved and how long

Hello Segun. Even though the network doesn’t have any traffic criteria, I think your blog still needs some traffic if it is to be approved. Review can take a couple of days and even a few weeks because it is done manually.
